Meet 5 New Businesses Adding Flavor — and Purpose — to Our Holiday Collection
As the holiday season approaches each year, the team at Neighborly Gifts pours countless hours into discovering products with purpose for our annual collection. It’s a true labor of love — from visiting vendors at trade shows, to combing through our favorite shops, to chatting with customers about their newest local finds.
This year, that search led us to welcome nearly a dozen new small businesses into the collection, joining the returning staples you’ve grown to love. Among them are farmers, makers, and entrepreneurs who consistently go above and beyond to create products they’re proud to share.
Here are just a few of the businesses we’re excited for you to discover as you begin your holiday gifting:
Driftless Gold | Viola, WI
Driftless Gold Maple Syrup is crafted on an eighth-generation family farm (shown above) in the heart of Wisconsin's Driftless Region. Guided by a deep respect for the land and a commitment to producing pure, organic syrup, they see their work as more than a product — it’s a continuation of their family’s heritage and a celebration of the place they call home.
Fiddlehead Knob | Le Roy, MN
Fiddlehead Knob is owned and operated by Kalvin Stern & Rachel Davis, who both grew up in rural southern Minnesota. The 10-acre farmstead where Fiddlehead Knob is located has been farmed and tended to by Rachel’s family for four generations. The property sits near acres of state wildlife forests and beautiful prairies, providing us with an abundance of thriving flora and fauna to adventure in as a family.

Hazel Heart Farms | Viroqua, WI
Hazel Heart Farms, formerly American Hazelnut Company, makes outstanding snacks crafted by Midwest chefs, grown by Midwest farmers, and packaged by Midwest artists. As a collective of small, regenerative hazelnut farmers, their products are rooted in a mission to restore Midwest soil and water with a nut that is native to our region.

Martin Coffee | Jacksonville, FL
Martin Coffee Company, Jacksonville’s oldest specialty coffee roaster, began in 1935 when founder Fred R. Martin started selling coffee during the Great Depression. Formally established in 1957, the company has remained family-run for three generations and continues to uphold its long-standing commitment to quality and community. Today, President Ben Johnson and his sister, Office Manager Jennifer Johnson, carry forward the Martin family legacy by roasting 100% Arabica coffee with a focus on craftsmanship, consistency, and customer service.

Rethreaded | Jacksonville, FL
Rethreaded's mission is to renew hope, reignite dreams and release potential for survivors of human trafficking locally and globally through business. The nonprofit provides a second chance at life through employment for survivors of human trafficking in Jacksonville, Florida. Women have employment opportunities in different facets of the company including production, sales and marketing. We are pleased this year to offer Rethreaded’s signature Toffee Tour Sampler in our holiday collection.
