This slow-fermented black garlic hot sauce delivers sweet, tangy, balsamic-like richness with earthy umami depth, amplified by fermented tabasco peppers and fresh garlic. Made with six natural ingredients, no preservatives, and the St. Augustine Datil pepper for a perfect slow heat that makes the palate tingle just right.
Hook Ya started in 2017 when a local Saint Augustine outdoorsman had a bumper crop of tomatoes and datil peppers. With having more than they could give away, they started on a new datil pepper sauce recipe. Being an avid fisher, their focus was on making a sauce that would compliment the lightness of seafood, yet give it an irresistible spice! Finally they found the secret to the datil pepper. To this day, they still grow their own datil peppers and source from local Florida farmers for a true farm to table product.
